Work Life Matters!
Most of us spend a significant amount of our waking hours working to earn a living while maintaining a home life, contributing to our communities, socializing, perhaps studying, and still finding time to look after our personal needs such as health, spiritual, and personal interests. Often there just isn’t enough time or energy for all of the pieces of our lives and we begin to feel out of balance in one or more of these areas. Work or career is typically an area where people experience a great deal of difficulty and are unsure how to make things better.
If you are facing decisions about your current work, exploring a change in your career direction, starting your own business, or seeking a more meaningful work-life balance, working with a career coach can help you to assess, plan and take action to achieve positive change.
What can I expect from Career Coaching?
Coaching involves a commitment of regular one-on-one sessions (in person or on the phone) over several months. In between coaching sessions, check-ins by email and phone will support you in meeting your personal goals. You will have “homework” such as reading material, researching options, information interviewing, reflective journaling and other self-directed activities. Throughout the process you will receive regular constructive feedback and professional guidance about how to make the desired changes in your life and work.
