Finding inner wisdom at work
It seems every time we turn around there is a new book or article about happiness. I read Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project this summer, and it was full of honest insights and lessons learned about creating a happier life – at home, at work, with friends and family and in more deeply personal ways. A memorable part of the book for me was Gretchen’s daily reminder to “just be Gretchen”. Too often we look to outside experts for answers to our problems. We want others to tell us what we need to do to lead healthier lives, improve our relationships, or find that elusive perfect job. By looking outside ourselves, we often forget that the best answers lie within us. If everyone could be happy the same way, it would be easy – and boring!
Working with a coach can help you to tap into your inner wisdom, to truly “be you” at work and in life, and thereby improve your happiness in your own unique way.
As a coach, I will guide you through a process of building confidence in your own self-knowledge and skills. You will get to know yourself better, set your own agenda, develop creative options for improving your work and life satisfaction, and implement a realistic plan of action. Whether you want to improve your current situation or make a transition to something new, I will keep you on track and provide regular feedback at every step of the way.
